Become a tax volunteer with Goodwill Industries and the Tulsa Area United Way!

The Tulsa Area United Way, in partnership with Goodwill Industries and the IRS, assists families with free preparation of their income tax returns through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. This program helps facilities and individuals with an average household income of $19,000 a year access tax credits for which they are eligible.

This valuable service needs volunteers now for the 2019 tax season.

Goodwill Industries of Tulsa is offering a $500 stipend to college students interested in volunteering for the program. Once chosen for the program, students are required to participate in the tax training and complete IRS certification, as well as work 5 Saturdays throughout the 2019 tax season.

Volunteers duties will primarily include discussing tax returns with clients and reviewing completed tax returns for potential errors. The stipend is limited to 4 students, so apply now!
