. Responsible for creating an inclusive environment and behaving in a way that ensures that clients and employees feel: embraced, no matter what their cultural orientations are, respected and valued, engaged and connected to the community, and safe from abuse and harassment.
. Responsible for overseeing Shelter operations after regular business hours from 10:30 p.m. To 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Tour and inspect Shelter at regular intervals. See to clients' needs.
. Responsible for screening incoming clients.
. Responsible for performing intake for after-hours clients. Responding to new client's immediate comfort and needs.
. Responsible for administrative duties, such as data entry, prepare daily census, Client Data Core Forms, Shelter Days reports and Critical Incident Reports.
. Responsible for providing crisis intervention services for phone-in and walk-in clients. Assessing needs and make informed referrals to other community resources.
. Responsible for putting together blank charts for new clients and assisting with filing.
. Required to attend DVIS New Hire Orientation and monthly PT Staff Meetings.

Job Opening Basic Qualifications: . High school or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
. Intermediate computer experience required.
. Excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Description Summary: Maintain a safe residential haven for women and children living at the DVIS Shelter by providing after hours advocacy services, and administrative reports for client statistics.
