Tulsa Area United Way Names Vice President of Finance



Carla Meyer has been named vice president for finance at the Tulsa Area United Way.

Most recently, Meyer served as the chief financial officer and controller at Mental Health Association Oklahoma.

“We are so pleased to have a finance professional of Carla’s caliber join our United Way staff,” said Alison Anthony, president and CEO of the Tulsa Area United Way. “Our United Way has always served as an exceptional steward of our donors’ contributions and Carla will continue to lead that tradition.”

Previously, Meyer worked as assurance manager at Eide Bailly, staff accountant at Emmons, Hartog and Swarthout, and assistant to the controller at Tulsair Beechcraft Inc., as well as several positions at Bacone College in Muskogee, Okla.

She received an MBA from the University of Phoenix, a bachelor’s degree from Bacone College and an associate degree from Connors State College in Warner, Okla.

She presently serves as professional ethics committee chair and treasurer for the Tulsa chapter of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). She also serves as trustee and finance committee member of Clarehouse, a non-profit organization that serves the needs of those in their last months of life.

She is a member of several professional organizations, has received several professional honors and awards and has written several articles for CPA Focus magazine.

Long Term Disaster Relief Fund for Eastern Oklahoma
