Following consultation with the Director of the Tulsa Health Department, the city of Tulsa issued a directive prohibiting events of 250 people or more in city facilities, and revoking special event permits issued for events of 250 or more.
This ban will go into into effect at 5 p.m.today, March 14, and will be in place until April 15, when it will be re-evaluated.
This only applies to events at City of Tulsa Facilities or events requiring a special event permit.
While there is no evidence of community spread Tulsa, we are mindful that so little is known about how CVOID-19 is spread, and this is a proactive measure.
The threshold of 250 people is a recommendation given by the Center of Disease Control to communities while trying to determine proper restrictions.
