2011 Trailblazer 5K Run and Block Party
 

It was a beautiful evening in downtown Tulsa Fri., August 12 for TAUW's 2011 Trailblazer 5K Run and Block Party.

More than 500 runners raced off at the sound of the starter's pistol from Centennial Park. Participants in both the 5k and 1-mile Fun Run took a scenic route through downtown Tulsa. To see the results from the 5K, click here.

Those who stayed behind at the Block Party enjoyed a wide variety of classics from The Usual Suspects, delicious chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A and tasty shaved ice from IceCrystals. Kids had fun running the Little Ones Run and getting their faces painted and temporary tattoos applied.

Throughout the evening, Elote's Luchadores helped get everyone pumped to run and congratulated the winners during the awards ceremony. The Luchadores also helped introduce the 2011 Trailblazer companies who are starting early campaigns and they announced their combined goal of $2,454,627. What a great way to get the 2011 Campaign off to a exciting start!
