Thank you to everyone who came out for Trailblazer 2010. The evening was a huge success with more than 800 runners braving the Oklahoma heat to complete the 5K run/walk or 1-mile Fun Run. Centennial Park was the perfect setting for the Block Party which included live music by Steel Horse, food from Split Rail BBQ, snow cones, and lots of fun activities for the kids including a clown, balloon animals, temporary tattoos, an inflatable bounce house, and the Little Ones Run.
During the Block Party, the Tulsa Area United Way's President and CEO Mark Graham and TAUW Board Trailblazer Chair Rod Sands from Explorer Pipeline recognized the 2010 TAUW Campaign Trailblazer Companies. These companies also announced a pre-campaign goal of more than $3 million! Then everyone cheered as the runners took off at the starting line, ran through downtown Tulsa, and ran back through the finish lines. All the runners then enjoyed water, Gatorade, beer, and snacks at the finish line. The evening concluded with more music and an awards ceremony for the fastest runners.

*Thanks for recycling! Tulsa's Metropolitan Environmental Trust was able to collect almost 200 pounds of plastic bottles and aluminum cans at Trailblazer.*
