Take the Journey to Safety Tour

A Day in the Life of an Abused Child

In honor of National Volunteer Week April 24-28, the Child Protection Coalition is offering a private opportunity for ELS and WLC members – 35 seats on its Journey to Safety Thursday, April 27 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., including breakfast and lunch.

With stops at the Child Abuse Network, Laura Dester Center, Youth Services of Tulsa, Family & Children’s Services and DVIS, the tour highlights services offered to abused and neglected children.

“We hope as you follow the journey of a child, you will be enlightened, determined to advocate for children, and inspired to volunteer,” says Nellie Kelly, Executive Director of the Child Protection Coalition, which promotes protection, justice and healing for abused and neglected children in Tulsa County by optimizing systems collaboration, advocacy, training, and best practices.
