Betty Graham, The Parent Child Center of Tulsa
Betty Graham collects all service data for the adult treatment program at The Parent Child Center of Tulsa and enters into the agency client database. She then makes a monthly summary report of client activity so the business office can make claim for financial reimbursement to the Department of Human Services.
Since 1993 her activity has enabled The Parent Child Center of Tulsa to claim $1,833,793 from the Department of Human Services for services provided by agency therapist/case managers.
Betty works nine hours per week, and as of February 2010, she had served 5,533 hours for a total value of $46,231 to the agency!
Betty takes her job very seriously and is another great example of a volunteer who Lives United! She will be receiving a Lifetime award at the National Volunteer Reception this Friday, April 23.

Alberta "Peaches" Johnson, Broken Arrow Seniors
At TAUW's Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon in February, we awarded the second annual Live United Spirit award to someone who defines what it means to be a volunteer. Alberta "Peaches" Johnson, 92, has volunteered at Broken Arrow Seniors for 24 years. She never misses a birthday pot luncheon, bingo or bunco. And you better believe she will be out there on the dance floor at the Monday night dances. In fact, she's quite the dancer; she's traveling to Muskogee this Saturday to line dance!
Recently we spent time with Peaches at a BASI luncheon because we wanted to see this wonder woman in action. She's a lady on the move, as she never once stopped working and didn't sit down until everyone else had their food.
Thank YOU Peaches for the years of service you have given to Broken Arrow Seniors and your other volunteer commitments. We hope your devotion continues to inspire others.
