The 2012 Campaign Kick-off, including goal announcement and recognition of the Trailblazers' early campaigns, will be conducted at the MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl on Friday, Aug. 31, at the University of Tulsa's Chapman Stadium.

"This storied rivalry between Jenks and Union High Schools is an ideal opportunity to reach a broader audience, expand awareness of the United Way and begin the Campaign with a high level of energy," said Mark Graham, President and CEO of the Tulsa Area United Way.

The event, which will replace the former Trailblazer 5K Run, merges two of our community's most beloved fall traditions: high school football and the United Way Campaign.

Specific game plans will be forthcoming, but count on some special activities before and during the game that will kick off the campaign in fall football style.
