Rock the 918

Congratulations to Paul Benjaman Band for winning Judges' Choice at Rock the 918 at Cain's Ballroom! In addition to winning a night at Cain's side stage, they will play on the Williams Route 66 Marathon main stage and won a photo session provided by D. Morgan Photography and exclusive Rock the 918 shirts designed by Louis & Cluck.

A.M. 60 took home the Peoples' Choice award and received Cain's memorabilia donated by Ida Red, a photo session provided by D. Morgan Photography and Rock the 918 shirts.

Oklahoma State Board of Education unanimously approves students will begin distance learning April 6th for the rest of the school year. School buildings will remain closed. ‬

Tulsa Area COVID-19 Response Fund Now Accepting Donations

Tulsa Community Foundation (TCF) and Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW) have established the Tulsa Area COVID-19 Response Fund to provide support for nonprofit organizations that can assist individuals and families experiencing COVID-19 related hardships due to temporary lost income and unplanned expenses.

This executive order specifically limits restaurants to curbside, drive-thru, takeout and delivery services. It is up to the restaurant or business owner’s discretion on how they operate those services, but they should follow CDC guidelines for best practices
First COVID-19 Death Confirmed in Oklahoma

Tulsa Health Department officials confirm a Tulsa County resident has died due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. A man in his 50s who tested positive for COVID-19 on March 17 passed away due to complications on March 18. The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
Expedited Unemployment Claims
According to the state, due to the emergent situation, unemployment claims are being expedited.
Tulsa Health Department Public Health Preparedness Update
Following consultation with the Director of the Tulsa Health Department, the City of Tulsa issued a directive prohibiting events of 250 or more in city facilities and revoking special event permits issued for events of 250 or more. This ban goes into effect today, March 14 at 5 p.m., until April 15, when it will be re-evaluated.

On Friday, March 6, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt announced a confirmed case of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Tulsa County. Tulsa Area United Way will continue to monitor and share information from our community partners such as the Tulsa Health Department.
