We are currently looking for an intake counselor for the Tulsa Women and Children's Center. We provide quality, compassionate treatment for substance abuse and addiction for pregnant and parenting women, adolescents, and families.

Job Opening Basic Qualifications: Requirements for all counselors:

Current LADC, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW or under supervision for licensure
Master's degree in behavioral science or related field

Job Description Summary: Residential Counselors at TWCC provide inpatient treatment services to pregnant and parenting women. Promote consumer empowerment, recovery and integration in the community, using best practices, evidence-based treatment, and integrated treatment for women with co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities of Intake Counselor:

Conduct initial intake screenings and assessments.
Maintain waitlist and schedule potential consumers for admission and communicate with team.
Communicate and coordinate with Counselors when assigning new consumers to their case load. Assign new consumers a room and buddy.
Provide initial services for new consumers, setup appointments for new consumers and/or their children to meet with staff members, and ensure consumers receive necessary information and services as they integrate into the community.
Complete all required documentation.
Work in collaboration with referring and former utilized services to gain comprehensive background of client. Develop effective working relationships with DHS workers, probation/parole officers, drug court coordinators, treatment providers and others who are invested in consumer's treatment.
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions and educational training as assigned.
Participate in treatment team and clinical staffing meetings.

The Child Care Program at Tulsa Women and Children's Center is accredited by NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and is licensed as a Reaching for the Stars Three-Star Child Care Center by Oklahoma Child Care Services.
