When child abuse reporting declined during the 2020 shelter-at-home period, Tulsa Area United Way started a coalition to raise awareness of child abuse prevention and reporting through the Look Out Reach Out campaign. See how partner agencies CASA, Child Abuse Network, Family & Children’s Services and the Parent Child Center took action.

Social innovations- copes 9-1-1 project

Launched September 3, the City of Tulsa 911 Mental Health Collaborative is a new initiative that connects non-life-threatening mental health-related 911 calls to a new member of the 911 dispatch center team – a mental health crisis expert. This rapidly links callers to mental health clinicians and avoids costly activation of first responders.
