Attention Homeowners Affected by the June 18 Storm
The City of Tulsa is here to help! If you’re in need of emergency repairs due to the recent storm, we have good news for you. Thanks to HUD assistance, the city is offering grants of up to $7,500 to support homeowners with urgent repairs.
To assist you in applying for these grants, the Department of City Experience (DCE) is hosting a workshop on July 11, 2023, at Martin Regional Library (2601 S. Garnett Rd.) from 3-5 p.m. This workshop is your opportunity to learn more about the grants and receive guidance in the application process.
The Emergency Repair Grants provided by the city do not require repayment and aim to address conditions that pose a threat to the health and safety of occupants. We want to ensure that your home is a safe and secure place for you and your family.
During the workshop, interpretation services will be available to assist non-English speakers. We want to make sure everyone has access to the information they need.
The grants cover various areas of repair, including electrical, plumbing, roofs, heating, air conditioning, and sewer line repair. If you meet the income guidelines and qualify as an eligible homeowner, we encourage you to complete the application and submit it to the City of Tulsa for review and verification.

Feds offer support to Tulsa businesses hit by storm
We have some great news to share with you! Federal officials are stepping in to support our community’s recovery from the recent severe storm in June. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering much-needed assistance to help you get back on your feet.
Here are the key details:
– Loans up to $2 million are available to repair property, machinery, inventory, and equipment.
– Payment deferral options are provided for economic recovery, meaning no interest or payments for a whole year.
– The assistance is open to small businesses and nonprofits in Tulsa, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Creek, Grady, Kiowa, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Stephens, Tillman, Wagoner, and Washington counties.
SBA public information officer Cory Williams emphasized that these loans have no closing costs, no application fees, and no pre-payment penalties. This is an incredible opportunity for you to access federal taxpayer dollars to support your recovery efforts.
