Improving Lives In The Tulsa Area
Tulsa Area United Way unites people and resources to improve lives and build stronger communities. By taking a comprehensive approach to community challenges, we actively listen and respond to local needs. Our community investments across eight counties enable us to share innovations and scale our impact, funding 160 programs across nearly 70 organizations. Additionally, through 211 Eastern Oklahoma, we connect people to vital resources across 37 counties, and we manage the statewide ALICE data platform to support working families.
In summer 2025, Tulsa Area United Way expanded its service area to include Rogers, Mayes, and Delaware counties, ensuring uninterrupted support and united resources to address the region’s most critical human service needs. Following a dedicated task force, our 2026 campaign will fund local nonprofits in these counties starting in 2027, guided by our rigorous, volunteer-driven review process.

The TAUW Process
Each year, over 180 volunteers across our funding streams carefully evaluate requests from nonprofit organizations, reviewing governance, program outcomes, and other critical factors to provide formal recommendations on our annual fundraising goals. We support programs and initiatives that provide meaningful, lasting impact for people in the communities we serve. And because the world is always evolving, we offer grants to accelerate our community's most transformative services, leveraging local dollars to solve complex problems.

Along with repeatable annual processes, we also lean into transformational collaborations and innovations grants to deliver impactful outcomes aligned with bold strategic multi-year goals.
