Nearly $26 Million 2022 TAUW Campaign Goal Revealed!
Stuart Price and other Tulsa Area United Way campaign volunteers unfurled a 24-foot banner at the Downtown Deco Challenge to announce the goal of raising $25,913,704 by mid-November.
Also on August 20, the United Way received $100,000 for its third consecutive Deco Challenge after exceeding Price Family Properties’ challenge of passing 1,000 people and pets through the balloon arch in Arvest’s parking lot.
As a result of the $100,000 donation, Campaign Chair Peggy Simmons is on track to raise nearly $26 million for the United Way’s partner agencies.
In addition to cornhole, giant connect 4, and a bounce house, guests enjoyed free T-Town tacos, Topeca coffee, and music from the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
The funds raised support vital programs that feed families, educate disadvantaged children, train employees, and more in the Tulsa area.
“Families are working harder than ever to earn a living wage in difficult economic times,” said Alison Anthony, the United Way’s President and CEO. Every year, more than a half-million times, someone accesses the services of a local United Way agency.”
